How To Do A Breast Self-exam

Look

In front of a mirror, arms at your sides. Look for breast and nipple changes.

Shape, size, skin colour and texture, rash or redness, visible bulging, dimpling, or puckering of the skin.

Move

Raise your arms to look for changes.

Hands clasped behind your head & on your waist.

Feel

Massage Once a Month into your skinwhile feeling for any lumps.

  1. Place your left hand behind your head.
  2. With the pads of your right hand’s 3 middle fingers, apply firm pressure in small circular motions on your left breast.
  3. Start at the nipple and spiral outward to cover the entire breast, armpit and area under the collarbone. Repeat on the right breast.
  4. Firmly squeeze each nipple to check for discharge.
